Nordic Tech Week takes place in Stockholm on 7–11 September 2026. Visit Stockholm describes a citywide technology festival with more than 300 independently organised events, from panel talks and hackathons to investor meetings. For you as a visitor, the key accommodation question is therefore how you get between your programme items.
Start from your programme when you choose accommodation
Enter the addresses of the events you actually plan to attend before you book a room. Accommodation near a metro station can make for an easier week than a room right next to a single venue. Also check when the last evening event ends and how you will get back to your accommodation.
Norrmalm and the area around Centralstationen suit you if you arrive by train or have several changes. Södermalm can be a practical base if much of your programme is south of the centre. Always compare the travel time from the exact address; the name of a district does not tell you how far it is to the stop.
Compare dorm, private room and the whole stay
If you are travelling alone, a dorm bed may be worth comparing with a private room. For two or more people you should also work out the price per person in a shared room. Check the number of nights, cancellation terms and what is included before you choose the lowest nightly price.
Sheets, towel, breakfast, cleaning and luggage storage can affect the total. A guest kitchen is useful during a longer stay. If you need to work between events, ask about a workspace and wifi rather than assuming that every common area suits video calls.
Free programme items also need planning
The festival is promoted with many free events, but check each organiser’s registration, capacity and terms. A place at one programme item does not automatically give access to others. Save your confirmations and leave a margin for getting between venues.
Late arrival and an easy journey home
Contact the accommodation before booking if you arrive late. Confirm reception opening hours, the option of self check-in and luggage storage on the day of departure. Check current routes with SL and do not lock in a tight train connection straight after the last programme item.
