The 2026 Stockholm Half Marathon on 29 August has finished. This accommodation guide can be used ahead of the next edition, but the date, start area and participant information must be checked with the organiser before you book. The details about 2026 below are historical.
You do not need to stay right by the start area. A hostel near the metro can mean a lower price, a quieter night and an easy journey to Kungsträdgården.
Ahead of the next edition
Choose accommodation only once you have checked the race date and your start location. In 2026 the start and finish were central, and the participant information recommended the metro to Kungsträdgården, Gamla Stan or Slussen. Do not assume that the same times and arrangements apply next year.
Check the next edition’s race number collection, start time and latest possible journey home before you decide on the number of nights.
Good areas for runners
Norrmalm and Gamla Stan are closest but often the most expensive. Södermalm offers several metro routes and plenty of places to eat. Vasastan and Kungsholmen lie along parts of the course and also suit accompanying spectators.

Accommodation features that matter
Ask about luggage storage before and after your stay, the option of cooking your own food and whether late check-out can be booked. Adapt check-in, meals and check-out to the start time given for your edition.
