The special 2026 summer airport shuttle between Visby Airport and Visby bus station operated only until 16 August. Do not plan your journey around that seasonal service after its end date.
Gotland Public Transport route 61 continues to serve the airport year-round. Check the current timetable before travelling, because the number of airport stops and departure times can vary by day and season.
Cheapest option: public transport route 61
Swedavia states that route 61 serves Visby Airport throughout the year. The bus journey to central Visby takes about ten minutes. Tickets can be bought on Gotland Public Transport’s website or app, or on the bus; onboard purchases are card-only.

The 2026 summer shuttle has ended
The additional Gotlandsbuss airport shuttle ran between the airport and Visby bus station via Östercentrum and Norrgatt from 12 June to 16 August 2026. It was a seasonal extra, not the year-round connection. Future summer services should be checked again rather than assumed.
Taxi and other choices
A taxi can be useful for a group, heavy luggage or a very late arrival, but confirm the price before starting the journey. Walking may look short on a map, yet luggage, weather and road conditions can make it impractical; use a mapped pedestrian route and daylight if you consider it.
