Lund University’s autumn 2026 Arrival Day is 18 August at AF-Borgen. University staff and mentors welcome students at Copenhagen Airport, Lund Central Station and the Arrival Day venue. If your permanent room is not ready, or you arrive after services close, a hostel or other short stay can bridge the gap.
Book only the nights you need and confirm reception hours before travelling. Arrival Day support is temporary and does not replace a confirmed housing contract.
Arrival Day 2026: the essential facts
The official venue is AF-Borgen, Sandgatan 2, with services from 09:00 to 20:00. Mentors are scheduled at Copenhagen Airport from 07:30 to 18:30 and at Lund Central Station from 08:30 to 19:30. Students arriving in Lund after 19:30 should arrange accommodation for the night in advance.

Where to stay for a few nights
Central Lund is most convenient for AF-Borgen and campus, but availability can be tight. Check the whole Skåne region and consider Malmö if Lund is full. Frequent regional trains make Malmö a practical temporary base, but verify the current timetable and the last train before booking.

What to check before paying
Ask whether sheets and towels are included, whether the kitchen is available, how late you can arrive and whether luggage storage is possible before check-in. Compare the room price plus train or bus costs rather than the room price alone.
